stolen happiness

she waited her whole life for him to ask her this question, "would you marry me?" those few words were like music to her ears, she felt like she could fly;
she stared into his eyes.
she wanted to drown in them.
but her happiness didn't last,
just when she knew what happiness is,
it was stolen from her.
everything happened very fast,
there was a gun shot ,
a scream and a body falling with a thud

I wrote this for all the happy moments that don't last
